3 Reasons Why We Love Canva vs. PicMonkey

As a direct seller, creating your own graphics might not be on your radar. Most direct sellers get beautiful photos and graphics from their home office or headquarters, so graphic design isn’t always necessary.

However, if you’re growing a personal brand to complement your direct sales business, being able to create your own graphics is critical. There are many super affordable (and even free!), high-performing graphic design tools and platforms that make it easy for anyone to create professional designs.

Out of all the platforms available, Canva and PicMonkey are the two commonly used by direct sellers. After researching and exploring both platforms, our team agreed that Canva is the better choice for direct sellers (and anyone looking to develop their brand on a budget!).

Keep reading to learn the top three reasons why we believe Canva is the best graphic design platform and why it's our go-to graphic design platform!

Canva Offers a Completely Free Option

One of the best things about Canva is that there is a completely free option that only requires you to create an account. Although there is a 30-day trial if you’re interested in paying for Canva Pro, you can have a permanently free account if you choose.

It does limit some of the features that you can use, but the free version still has the capacity for amazing designs for those looking for a very budget friendly option.

On the flip side, PicMonkey only offers a paid plan with a 7-day free trial. This one is a no brainer for a business on a budget!

Canva’s New Content Planner

Canva recently launched an amazing new feature: a social media content planner directly through the platform.

This is a great add-on if you decide to pay for the professional (or above) accounts. Rather than using and paying for a separate platform to schedule your content, you can create your social media graphic and immediately schedule it to go out through Canva.

The Canva content planner can schedule posts to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and more! This a great perk if you’re trying to grow a personal brand (because you're already using the Direct Sales on Demand Method for your direct sales business). And if you’re using social platforms like Pinterest or LinkedIn along with the DSOD method for direct sales, then the content planner cuts down on cost and time!

Canva’s Professional Templates

The last reason that our team loves using Canva is that they have the best template choices out there.

Canva has professionally designed templates for anything you could think of, from social media graphics to website pages. And what's great about their templates is that you can either add your text and hit publish, or you can easily go in and change elements within the design.

And each Canva template (even with a free account!) has endless options for graphics, fonts, stock photos, short videos, and more! If you choose to upgrade to Canva Pro, you get even more templates, graphics, photos, and fonts. The options are endless!
