I Booked My First DSOD Show. Now What?

Oct 02, 2021

Woohoo!! You just booked an on demand show (using one of these methods perhaps?)! Say hello to freedom and efficiency and joy in your direct sales business!

“Ok, Julie, but now what? I feel like I should have lots to do — copy and paste social media posts, scripts, host coaching, sharing photos, sending messages….phew, I am tired thinking about this!”

Slow down, friend. There is….well, none of that in the DSOD method. So just take a breath and relax knowing that you are doing things the easy way now.

How to prepare for your on demand party

Here are a few quick tips to prepare for your upcoming show just so you can feel like you’re on top of things:

  1. Mark the date(s) in your calendar.
  2. Set up the event in your company back office.
  3. Set a deadline to complete your on demand show for your host. We recommend a week in advance to ensure you have time for edits or hiccups.
  4. Personalize your on demand show by adding personal details or photo of your host. Bonus points for a welcome video!
  5. Provide your host with everything they need to easily share the link with their friends. We go over this in our host coaching tips!
  6. During the show, be available for questions. If you use a Facebook or text group chat, be active and friendly but don’t send too many.
  7. Send brief follow-up reminders as the show closes.
  8. Send thank you notes and invite them to your VIP group or email list if you have one.
  9. Celebrate that you hosted an on demand party with ease and had fun doing it!

That’s it!

It’s suuuuuper easy to host a virtual party with the DSOD method! Say goodbye to all the stress and scripts of the past and actually enjoy your business, host, and guests. If you have recommendations or tips to add to this list, please respond in the comments and let us know.
